Interview with Fatuma!

This interview is from one of the employee's Fatuma. She is also a builder who works at a company that I cannot name due to several reasons. It’s translated into English from Kiswahili. Enjoy!

1.) What do you enjoy about your job?
 I enjoy meeting with my friends and co workers to socialize with them

2.) What did you dislike about your job?
It can get tiring sometimes, and also sometimes it goes until late.

3.) What are your working hours?
Usually work starts at 8am until 5:30pm

4.) How difficult was it to get this job?
I was recommended by one of the people who worked there, so I got called for an interview

5.) What were the requirements of this job?
Nothing in particular, although in the interview I was asked about my previous jobs

6.) Are there areas concerning labour, where you don't know the rule?
I'm still unsure about how long the maternity period is, although I know it’s a must to have it if a women ever gets pregnant

7.) What is your wage (If you don't mind?)

8.) What do you need to do in order for a raise?
 There are no raises.

9.) If you get sick, how much support is given?
Usually a small loan, although I'm not sure because I have never been in that state.

10.) What is your longest holiday?
Christmas

11.) Did this job have any requirements related to your education?
I have only participated in primary school.

12.) Do you have a family? If so how many are you?
Husband and 2 kids

13.) If you could invent any labour law, what would it be?
An employee should receive a certain amount of medical help from an employer. It should be noted on the contract.
